Dead body disappeared

So me and my buddy were killed by the troll. After that we went back there with newly created characters, troll was there, our staff was scattered around but there was no dead bodies.

Did he ate them or is it a bug?

Animals will bash your body if it's stopping them from pathfinding during combat.
