No character's arrow on map

After a few minutes in-game I got a short lag and the character's arrow disappeared from the minimap.

P.S. Got it a few times before but was lazy to submit
P.S. Just figured out that all icons were dissapeared

I have seen this too, it seems it happens to me when different map pieces are sewed together, I have been lost at seeing in the middle of this happening, and it's rather strange.

It only happened to me twice and both have been at the same time my maps have joined up together.

I had this issue as well using Ender's client

Relogging fixed it

Just had a section merge (cave), and the character icon on the map was also gone. (2 times in a row)

Fast travel event (exit/enter cave/door) also restored the icon (":lo" is faster).
