due to how archery-cone works, even standing directly next to the target a bullseye can't happen, and the 7 tile distance required for the credo step means that it will never be possible given current mechanics

Not entirely sure what you're referring to. I just want to test this, and scored some five bullseyes or so.

How? There’s no longer a “draw/aim” progress bar and no matter how long i hold it the shot I release fires within a fairly wide cone

iirc MM no longer affects archery accuracy but mine’s still above 150 which is much more than I needed to bullseye under the previous archery system. Is your MM in the thousands or am I fundamentally misunderstanding how archery works currently?

Is it due to how my camera is positioned (ortho) then? I click directly on the bullseye of the target each time and even standing point-blank my shots only can hit the second circle from the centre

Maybe I’ll try a horizontal cambad? I’ll get back with the results as soon as I can, I’ve tried to bullseye on several occasions and never have my shots been exactly accurate to where I click

It targets the point on the ground that you click on, which probably does not line up with the bullseye.

I see. With a bird's eye :cam bad I was able to click on the tile of the target and eventually hit a bullseye. I'll update the wiki as its info was out-of-date and otherwise lacking

that's...not entirely intuitive from an isometric view, huh? meh I guess same to skep/mine support radii, etc. Either way I guess this is resolved.

Perhaps it could be improved by showing line from your character to the precise point that the arrow hits, when you are aiming?
