Have Fireplaces changed?

Postby Morrighan » Thu Apr 08, 2021 11:39 pm

Is there now a quality cap applied to fireplaces and/or the fuel used in them that affects q of the product? I made ash from wood blocks in the fireplace. Q10 block, my survival and cooking are over 10. The ash is consistently coming out at q5 from the fireplace. Is this a bug or working as intended? Ash from a Kiln comes out at the normal calculated quality. I have replicated this, it’s not just a one-of event. Thanks for your forthcoming insight into this discrepancy.

Could be logs that are getting halved, could be everything. Needs testing, might be a bug. From the details posted, it's hard to say what it is. (I've never even tried blocks or bones in a fireplace before.)

Hmm. Will look at that.
