Bird Lung with Unoccupied Dovecote

Checked in just now on my Dovecote, was hit with bird lung but no doves fled from the cote, nor are there any new eggs.

I placed some Doves I caught in there, along with some eggs I raided from a nest in hopes they would hatch. The Doves flew off ages ago, I was hoping they'd hatch the eggs but no dice.



Still can't figure out how to entice the things, but that's a separate issue. I just want some cute messenger birds.
