It looks like leeches, adopted before Swamp Fever update, don't leave Leech Burns anymore and thus convert no wounds as intended. Tested on 4 legacy lecches, may make more tests later.

Idk, on four leeches you're not guaranteed to get any burns.

Tested on 8 more domesticated leeches. Sorry, my bad. Works as intended. Problem solved.

But is there any guarantee, even with 10 leeches all at q900? (Ok, that high, every point of damage might just end up as a leech burn.)

It's just a random chance. Better quality leeches have a higher chance, but also do more damage per tick.
