Healing with Infected Sore

Postby DauntlessGolem » Sun Apr 25, 2021 4:44 pm

So I didn't know to put this for discussion or bug, thought this was the best place for it.

So I had a blunt trauma, a wound that I'm 90% sure doesn't heal over time, and went to a swamp to leech myself dry to get rid of it. Was unsuccessful and the trauma became infected. Out of curiosity, I let the infection run its course (the wound was only 2 damage) and after a couple of hours the infected sore healed the wound completely.

Just wanted to post this here because this seems like an unintentional side effect of the infected sore. Naturally unhealable wounds can be healed via infection with enough luck.

(If I am square brain and blunt trauma does heal over time, I'll just delete this embarrassment)

+1, not that it will matter anyway.

It's certainly true that this can happen. It's a bit weird for sure, but I'm also kind of fine with the idea that just permuting something can make it go away for unexpected reasons. May change it in the future, but for that reason I'm kind of fine with it for now.

Pretty sure this is how gambling addicts and desperate sprucecaps have been healing deep cuts and swollen bumps for a while

No we waited for infection too set in , then treated the infection with ant paste. the paste heals the infection and the original wound
