OGL error, game won't start

System is older Dell Inspiron laptop, Win7; been running H&H on it since last August.

Just before logging out last night the graphics were suddenly corrupted; thought the chat window had turned bright green, but was a series of thin green vertical lines; exited the building, all paving had bright green speckles. Logged out and next screen was corrupted, looked like 8bit color. Exited and desktop looked the same; logged out of windows and back in, all normal. Used computer several hours more, online and off, played games, etc., everything normal. Everything normal this morning, til I logged in to H&H, the screen where you select character came up blank white with a popup complaining my vid card was too old (note: same card in use since August), clicking "details" gets this message:

Close game, desktop corrupted again; log out of windows and back in, everything back to normal. But, just to check, I uninstalled vid drivers, restarted in safe mode and ran DDU to remove all vestiges, restart in normal mode and reinstall drivers (in fact, tried three different drivers). All works fine except H&H, which continues to throw that message.

Searched online to no avail; info either aimed at developers and entirely over my head, or for other OS (Linux, ubuntu), or about hacking OGL drivers to work in Win10. Nothing about a system functioning normally and suddenly having an OGL issue with one piece of software.
