Animals disappear after hitching

Hey,

I don't know if it is a bug or I am doing something wrong. I hope you can help me.

I try to tame animals and therefore I build a hitching post, fed a clover to the cow / sheep and bound it to the hitching post.

I keep the rope in the inventory and even got enough food in range.

After about 1-2 hours the animals disappear. Even though I get the +15 yellow number for the taming progress.

I tamed a horse though and was able to raise the taming to 45 on a cow. After some hours (4-6) the cow was gone.

Anyone got a clue?

Edit: I received the information that it is related to the grid. If the animal is on the other side of the grid where the hitching post is located it can vanish. Jorb is looking into it.

You can certainly turn the "Map grid" on your client.
This will make red lines appear on your map, if the hitching post is in one of this "grid", then the hitched animal go into another during a "refresh" of the grid, the animal will disappear.
