Elixers for bum burn appears to do nothing

As title suggests, it heals (on average) around 1 point every 7 hours, with or without elixer healing status.

If true, this need more bumps.
What is the point of having a Bum Burn Elixir effect if it does nothing?
Especially for a mechanic that can kill you or gimp you for months.

I actually thought it was more around 12hrs for 1 point of Bum Burn to heal naturally, but I haven't been taking an exact time on points healed.

After testing it myself, I have found the Elixir to heal the wound slower than it does naturally, so the elixir just helps with an extra 1 point of wound every ~12 hours.
