Villages should not be able to claim area around Thingwalls

Let's look at this the other way around. What's the reason why v.claiming a thingwall shouldn't be removed?

OP reported a valid complaint: claimed thingwall can easily be blocked, forcing you to either act criminally, or avoid using it completely. Considering other measures implemented to avoid walling off thingwalls, this is clearly not meant to be.

So why shouldn't they change it? Provinces are large enough for any village to be able to expand as much as they need without needing to claim a thingwall.
