There are lags with inventories and terraforming

Postby Fostik » Thu Nov 07, 2024 11:39 am

Since yesterday, while most game functions is just working okay I clearly can state that inventories and terraforming operations has increased latency.

To be more precise:
Inventory operations, such as opening new cupboards has delays. New inventory items takes some additional time (3-10 seconds) to download sprite.
Terraforming operations, such as changing biome on tile or surveying does not apply immediately, you can still see unchanged level after you changed it, and sometimes won't change until you apply some changes again(stomp to dirt/pave/plow/dig). While it's typical for new world lags feels stronger now.

I did not saw any other posts on forum about that, so created this thread. Please provide any feedback once anyone faces same issues.

I have noticed when foraging some items I have already foraged there is a '?' icon in the inventory for a second. This doesn't always happen.

Btw it may be worth posting your general location so it can be troubleshooted better. Ie if you are living on the opposite side of the world to the server or not.

I'm living in west of Poland, should have really good ping latency with Frankfurt
I haven't faced any issues with my network recently unless there is some weird issues particularly with UDP packages
