Developed skulls no longer give discovery?

I plucked a developed skull from a skeleton for the first time this world but got no discovery lp or skull pike recipe

Is this broken?

I have tin nuggets discovered.. weird

I'd assume it requires the murder skill or something but I didn't get the discover LP for picking the skull in the first place so that's probably not the reason

What is the build path for you? Under furniture somewhere right?

I was able to describe this skull onto a piece of parchment, but it just shows as generic "hearthling skull"
