Reduce Tedium: Increase Yields Of Trellis Plants Over TIme

Trellis plants should ramp up in production the longer they have been alive. Most of them are vining or bushing plants, and they just get bigger IRL. A first harvest from a cucumber vine pales in comparison to what you'll get from it a month later(so long as its healthy). This would give a big improvement to our production & reduce the amount we need overall. Idc about exact numbers for the amounts that should be harvested, but it should become pretty substantial. 10+ or most things after like 3 or 4 harvest

Alternatively, vining plants should spread to adjacent empty trelli and those can also be harvested. I think that could be very strange and weird with how closely we place trellis though, so eh.

just make trellis crops slowly increase in quality over time between harvests and youd be improving them by 1000%

Why not both? We should only need to plant trelli in spring, let them increase in quality & production until they die in winter then we replant with one of the final harvest.

While we're suggesting ideas everyone wants but will never happen, trellises should be buildable similar to walls/fences, place and extend to build the whole row. All been said before, but might as well condense it into the same thread.

Little do you know, His Majesty, Jorbonzola, first of his name, asked us for ideas about the removal of tedium.

This quip was unnecessary, ill informed and counter productive. This forum is for critiques and ideas.

You are crazy-high if you think this sudden interest in removing tedium is going to last. 1-2 more patches, maybe. I want to be wrong of course.

Yeah bro pass the fucking pipe stuff and the paint thinner fuck me for hoping we can really improve the game through low-effort but monumental changes that help the longevity and enjoyability.

Great input everyone, really moving forward here in exploring the implications and possibilities of this idea.

There isn't much left to discuss. Though, I think it would be miles better to see progressive increases in quality from harvesting (but not destroying and replanting) trellis crops. That would be gorgeous. Yields are fine and strong enough as-is, especially with AoE harvesting.

The problem was mostly replanting.

yap, the 3:1 return on trellis crops is fine, i just cant stand having to replant more than a small handful of trellis crops at a time with how tedious it becomes.
