I'm curious just how bad it would be for the server hardware to keep up with wildfires spreading across the map.
The obvious problem with implementing an arson crime is that griefing is already endemic and setting buildings on fire would essentially automate it. If the climate affected it, though, it could work as a balancing feature, with 'droughts' being created at times more destruction would be desirable, and rain being common (and making burning the world impossible) when the incentives are meant to go the other way.
