Tree log racks - I'm begging you

Postby Hasta » Sun Feb 15, 2026 12:47 am

A 1x3 Log Rack - construction out of boards, sticks, thatching material, holds up to 8 logs, prevents decay (thatching roofing, duh).
A 2x3 Large Log Rack - boards, blocks, bone glue, thatching material, holds up to 24 logs, prevents decay.

I'm literally begging for this. Exact specs may vary, but PLEASE add a better and more compact way to store tree logs than "put them neatly in a single long impassable file on a claimed land".

People have already thought of it you know!

Generic garden-shed-like interface with generic slots and generic icons. Generic "pine log" models visible from outside (I do realise that if I were to open the "specific types of tree logs visible from outside the rack" can of worms we would immediately jump both to "specific icons to every type of tree" AND "tree logs in a cart instead of generic sacks" and that's a direct way to "object properties such as quality and contained items visible when object is inside a storage", I'm willing to pass on all that to have a simple generic log storage ASAP).

Yes, please! It would also be great to have a variant or option to increase the conversion rate into mirkwood logs. This would allow a way to farm high quality wood worms.

+1 Logracks would help add some flavor to arranging the log; Barrel Rack would also be nice :]

+1
both useful and nicer to see compared to current way of sorting logs.

Only question I have is: would it be a container (like wagon) allowing you to pick which log to take out? Or more of a stockpile-style, so you get the last you put it? (more realistic, slightly less convenient)

I would also like a cheaper alternative that does not prevent or maybe even explicitly allows decay even on claim (them mirkwood farming). Maybe as simple as taking 10 blocks and a rope
or just a rope to tie a 6-log pyramid
