Disable the ban option in the Kingdom chat

Suggestion: disable the ban option in the Kingdom chat

Freedom of speech and opinion prevails on the forum and in the game. There's no moderation. But for some reason, someone has the ability to ban people just like that, at will.
This feature doesn't add anything useful to the game or the chat.

If you don't like someone or what they're writing, there's the "mute" command.

There was a message from Jorb saying he's planning to create a new chat with modern features, possibly a global one. And some other changes. While we wait for the chat update, you can disable the ban function in the chat. And don't include them in the updated chat.

Those who have been given this ability, let them do the same as other players. If you don't want to see messages- mute them. If you don't like what's being written - try to influence it. Use your authority, send the guards to sort it out, or do it yourself, and other social interactions.

The ability to ban people from the chat at will, without reason or rules, violates players' rights, harms the game, and doesn't fit the atmosphere in Haven. Modern governments, with all the latest technology, don't have this ability, but for some reason, medieval kings do.

They created the chat as kingdom owners so they get to ban for whatever reason they want.
You can already change the system by taking over their kingdom or making your own kingdom so you get to be the guy who bans.

Damn, if OP were Isaac Newton and apple fell on his head, he would probably try to disable apples.

Unmoderated realm chats could be a menace in regard of spam or bot messages, worth to note "I am farming wok", a bot client shared among people posted messages to kingdom chats when it worked.
Realm chats has indeed freedom of speech, as well as freedom for it's owners to choose what's appropriate and what's not, whether it is language used, nickname selected or mere annoyance of players chatting, and OP cunningly wants to take this freedom from realm owners, just to tip the scales in his favor.

They founded a kingdom, not a kingdom chat.
Let's allow the king to enter any house, open the front yard without keys—it's their kingdom, after all. And take whatever they want—it's their kingdom, after all.
That's not how it works.

Wasn't there a case where someone tried to create a "no-censorship social media app" and people started flooding it with pictures of poop?

The author of the post communicated calmly. But the bot or human spammed and spouted nonsense for three days and got away with it. Anyone who found it disturbing simply muted them. No problems.

This option isn't used for chat moderation or to ensure people can communicate peacefully in the chat.

If you want the chat to be moderated, create rules and assign moderators. Or use a bot moderator.

If someone is irritated by something, they can use the mute command.

If kingdom owners don't like something, I've described the methods of interaction above.

The ability of kingdom owners to ban people from the chat at will is wrong and harmful to the game. I've never seen a single player in an MMO given control of the chat without any rules or controls. If you get an insane person, they'll simply ruin your game. People won't want to kill them. They'll simply leave the game, stop communicating, or move to Discord and chat there. None of this will have a positive impact on the game. So there's no trick involved.

Chat bans aren't a game feature, but a developer or moderator function.

The fact that kingdom owners have the ability to ban chat won't hinder this. The same person who was spouting nonsense and it wasn't clear whether they were a human or a bot simply logged in with a new account and continued posting. Since they weren't playing, it wasn't difficult for them to create a new account in a minute.
So if someone wants to, this feature won't hinder them.
But it's used against players who just play because they want to.

have you considered that the way you want to play haven is retarded and talking about it in realm chcat is annoying? that could possibly be a reason you were banned.

Everyone plays as they want. And discusses what he wants. They banned me simply because I didn't respond and the person got offended.
And I didn't even see his message - I only saw in the screenshot that he was asking me something. He's muted because of his nickname
It's not me, it's the feature itself. It's not being used as intended—perhaps this is one of the reasons why Jorb is considering removing kingdom chats and creating a general in-game chat.
