The wilderness beacon recipe is unlocked from the start of the game.
Reason.
Haven is a game that newcomers usually join by invitation from experienced players.
But if a group of players who've simply heard about the game joins the game, they might be faced with the problem of "How can we play together here?"
Unlocking a beacon is very quick if you know how and what it's for. However, for new players, this can take a long time; they might miss it among all the unlockable recipes or not read the description.
As a result, by the time they figure out how to unlock it, they might lose interest in playing, or some players might even leave the group.
Therefore, I think it's better if they can discover it early.
Possible implementation.
1) An immediately unlocked recipe.
At the beginning, when almost nothing is unlocked, they'll see a soul bonfire, a teleporter, and a wild beast beacon upon entering adventures. After reading about what it is and why, they'll look for a way to build it.
2) Add the beacon construction quest to the initial three quests:
- Learn Foraging
- Learn Firecraft
- Learn Pottery
- Learn Lumnberjacing
- Learn Carpentry
- Build a Wilderness Beacon
With this quest, the chance of missing the beacon approaches 0.
