said item will allow us to dose rennet, tar or other chemicals in half or full liters.

There are already vessels that hold one liter (never mind, OP mentioned Rennet that only goes into a Bucket, Jar or a Glass Jug?)

Anyways, measuring cups for 0.1 and 0.05 liters would be very useful.

Add a "pour" option to the right click flower menu for containers, and allow players to pour any amount of a liquid/substance

+1 from me. Seems like it has limited use, like efficient use of rennet, when you only got a little bit of it. But certainly wouldn't hurt, i think.

I have had the situation in which i got my first three batches of rennet and after pouring it all into one curding tub i was thinking: well i could produce curd much faster if i could / would split these three litres of rennet into the other tubs i got.

Tho, i am curious how separating 0.05 and 0.1 amounts from a liquid? Can't you just use a bigger container and let whatever you're crafting use the amount it needs?

imagine this, you hold a perfectly whole tankard in hand, stand over a barrel of whatever liquid you can imagine (maybe except of lava) and voice in the sky booms "NA-AH!". it just doesn't make any sense. instead of limiting what container can take in what, limit drinkability of said liquids but allow all containers.
As tankard is 1L container, that would fix all the issues with rennet. would help moving mercury back and forth in non-bucket quantities. though mercury & tin would probably result in tankard's bottom falling off. so, yeah, some exceptions will be needed.

but again, this is a patch over a broken system. why not fix curding tubs instead? to hold only 2L, im pretty sure this was suggested like a million times already.

I'd even take a measuring spoon 0.01; double down and make it a curio.

Add a measuring bucket from 1 to 10 liters. In 1-liter increments. With an additional first increment of 0.5 liters.
So that you can dose not only liquids but also other items.

So that when you right-click the measuring bucket on the container you want to remove from, an interface opens with a quantity selection.
The options may vary, but one of them is:
+0.5 +1 +2 +3 ... +10
The interface will be a bit cumbersome, but I think in this case it's justified.

Or reduce it to +0.5 +1 +2 +3 +5 and make up the remaining options from these five:
8 = +3 + 5
2.5 = +0,5 +2
My english is bEd.
