The reason why people do not want to PvP after coming to a game that is apparently marketed as promoting such a thing is because they get one look of the PvP and realize it's dogshit. I still PvP/PK in all the other games I play. Haven though? It's a running simulator. It's dogshit. One mass chasing the other mass hoping to pick off 1-2 stragglers that panic. I stopped joining big villages years ago after my first mass PvP event. Took like 6 hours to get everybody organized and gathered and then all we did was run run run run run both after and away. I stopped watching PvP videos too because they're all shit. Not interesting to watch, not interesting to play.
Yet any suggestion to change this cycle of shit is met with the biggest opposition from the 'hardcore' group of players more than anything. They're not hardcore though, they're cowards.
Make it so you can't drink and run forever.
>"NOOOO YOU CAN'T DO THAT, DON'T YOU REALIZE IF YOU DO THAT THEN PEOPLE MAY ACTUALLY DIE? 'I' MAY ACTUALLY DIE IF I GET GANKED, I NEED TO RUN FOREVER WITH AN INVENTORY FULL OF WATER"
I'm fine with dying in a system where you can't run forever btw. They're the ones who aren't.
I suggested a CLOSED OFF endgame dungeon in a dangerous and hard to escape area, a dungeon that alerts the world to it spawning in the same way as meteors, that has its entrance be a whirlpool in the middle of the ocean that you ride into which takes you to an area where you dock your knarrs and then do the dungeon on foot, no hearthing out, no easy way out, an eclosed area that would force people to actually engage with each other and fight instead of just running around for hours.
They didn't like that either.
I proposed that criminals have their ability to hearth be taken away so they're subject to continued exposure outside and can be tracked down and potentially killed much easier. They didn't like that either.
Noticing the pattern yet? They don't want the hardcore experience they speak of, they want to be benefactors of all the safety nets the game gives while doing their thing, but the moment you suggest taking their safety net away, they desperately defend the system with their lives.
I could play this game if claims weren't a thing, easily. They can't. They're all bitch made. They say one thing here to keep their carefully fostered 'hardcore player' image alive but inwardly they're coward-pilled.
I mean just look at this thread.
>Wah meteors are the only reason for people to leave their base
So what did I do? I gave you a clear suggested idea that would incentivize people to head to a dangerous area where they know other people are going to want to be going to for the same reasons they are, and not only did they not like the idea of having to fight in a dungeon area where running is limited and escape is very hard, where one side is likely going to emerge the victor and the other side is going to be DEAD (again, something they claim to want, something that doesn't happen in the current game), but when I suggested that the reward for this sort of dungeon be BIG, really big, like huge enough to give the victor an even bigger advantage for going through with all the risk (big risk, big reward, simple), they shit the bed about that too.
I don't know why they have this persona of being hardcore, they're the most softcore little bitches I've ever seen.
>You can't have the reward be too good because then the people who win will have an advantage
Then don't be a loser and win. It's gotta be a good enough reward to make people from all across the world converge into a space they know is going to be heavily PvP focused and will possibly be the end of their character and their friends characters. It's supposed to be a worldwide event to get people out of their bases and away from safety to FIGHT and DIE.
Also I made suggestions to make exploration better. Another push to get people out of the base. Another thing that people don't want because despite what they say and how big they talk, they too long for the safety of their palisades. Just look at the pushback you get to any suggestion to put these tards in harms way, they can't handle it.
Nobody knows what these guys want, they say they're hot for pvp and pk but they reject all suggestions that make things more dangerous for themselves and their enemies.
I think Jorb & Loftar should just finally abandon the idea of catering to these people who are never happy and who don't contribute any positives to the game. Just continue focusing on the PvE aspects of the game, at least they appreciate your work and are easy to cater to.
The reality is this. All of the best things you can create in this game are done behind the safety of your walls. Of course nobody is going to leave their base when you just keep adding more and more reasons to never leave.
I wish one of these experimental worlds turned claims off completely just to watch these bitch's squirm. I legitimately don't think they could handle it.
