Bit of an off-topic rant, but High-Security space in EVE Online has had plenty of issues about it, some approaching Jorb-levels:
-It used to be that any corporation could declare war on any corporation: while there were "legitimate" wars to disrupt your rival, perhaps the most common war declaration was from a corporation that specialized in extorting casual players. Who now had the delightful option of disbanding their corporation (equivalent to a guild in other MMOs) giving in and paying the danegeld (excellent way to ensure that there are Danes asking you for gold) or getting blown up by people far more experience in PvP.
-Half the the things related to Citadels (the new version of a "player-owned stations) that could be anchored to High Security space as well (at least there was one exploit where you could set up a courier contract and then "turn off" the Citadel so that the delivery was impossible, and they'd have to pay a massive collateral fee.)
-They had some High Security system turn into the new "Forbidden Zone" which severed non-low-security connections between some regions. Although biggest controversy(?) was that the devs gave an impression that players would be able to stop the Triglavian invasion entirely
TLDR: lot of the time, EVE Online is the example of what NOT to do when developing a sandbox MMO...

I'm not for abolishing PvP, it has its uses. I want to rein in the "I love to hunt sprucecaps" attitude, which does nothing to attract new players. I want to remove the "There's a new market/well, lets go destroy it" mentality. Admittedly I fail to comprehend the "fun" in ruining other peoples games. Use PvP against those who've done something to deserve it. Or place it on a realm basis - wars over resources, territory, etc.

I proposed a PvP checkbox when you create a new character. If you check that it is the game as normal except you can only attack other PvP players. If you do not check that you cannot be attacked nor can you attack another player. However, if a non-PvP player commits a crime they lose that status for a specified time (24hrs?, 48hrs?) and can be attacked anytime anywhere.

As an aside, for all the folks who keep telling the rpg crowd to go play Farmville or Stardew Valley, those games have no hunting, no fishing, no exploration, no mining, etc., thus are a far cry from Haven. Haven is complex and interesting, with so much to do; I just wish it was conducive to a more social aspect of playing.

Instead of this crap, you guys should ask Jorb to add a mechanic that would encourage people not to exterminate you hermits like animals. Something related to realms, for example, like the ability to enlist as peasants and pay taxes.
With your whining, you're only working in the opposite direction.

(For Context: the fishing systems in ‘Stardew Valley’ are both more complex and one thousand times more satisfying than anything Haven&Hearth offers)

Maybe its the Salem years in me but it should be the opposite. The far lands are pvp with loot+. Claims decay faster. Or can be palibashed and require brick. Which is slow to build soak.
