The thought has occurred to me as well, and I agree in principle that some sort of kitchen aid would be pretty cool.

I would like to have an indoor kitchen area where you can do all those things inside along with an oven attached

My proposal was a kitchen area. This would require a certain cooking level, maybe other traits, to create, and maybe designated by a particular tile; anything stored on this area - barrels, crates, stacks, chests - would be accessible as inventory to a cook standing adjacent to it. Place your oven, fireplace, smoker, one tile away, stand between them and cooking would be immensely more enjoyable, especially for those items that require numerous ingredients.

Most wanted thing in cooking for me is: selection of Ingridients in craft window, not an auto select, coz sometimes you need craft from 2 different shrooms, or make brine with spice different from salt etc.

Just in case you've missed viewtopic.php?f=39&t=80833
Reworked the crafting input menu such that:

You can hold an item, and left-click an input slot, to limit the slot to only take items of that type.
You can also limit an input slot to a particular input type by shift-left-clicking with the slot's input selection cursor active. (I.e. Left click input slot -> Shift-Left-Click a "Chantrelles" -> Slot is now limited to "Chantrelles").

Something like that already almost exists, but seems it's only possible to "hard select" only one type of ingredient per crafting recipe slot. if you want to use only one non-salt spice for brine, this does help.
