I'v been a play for a while now (since world 3 or 4) and iv enjoyed the game in every iteration it has gone through, and I stayed up all night awaiting the hafen release. The game is good. It really is, sure its a bit blocky atm, and i get a little bit of delay here ad there but nothing that would stop me from enjoying it to its fullest. Your game is fun and I am enjoying it, I figured Id let you know simply because of the overwhelmingly negative vibe I have been able to see on the forums. As a fellow developer I can only wonder if it has upset or how it makes you feel because its a damn shame. You work all day to get the game running and up and almost immediately the negative feedback rolls in all because of a silly payment issue. I and I know there must be plenty like me support your payment model and whether or not you make changes to it I will gladly pay $10-30 a month to enjoy the environment you have sought to create. Being a developer is hard, it takes a lot of time out of your days and those days quickly become years, and I do hope that despite the first day hiccups you don't let any negative feedback get to you, you are an amazing team and can't wait to continue playing this world out and enjoying it till its end, paying the whole way there

The game for me is as it always was 9/10 because you can and always do improve on it every chance you get.

I have to agree with OP, you have worked very hard and I think you deserve to make people pay to play your game. Even if you don't have families and kids or whatever, food isn't free, living somewhere is very costly and money doesn't come around that easily. Besides that, you gave everyone a lot of options to pay which, in my mind, is genuinely respectful to those who like different ways of payment.

Money sucks.

I agree, the game is nice.
But the only problem was that the pay thing were purposely hide to your player base.
You make the people wait all day and then anonce its not free anymore, what was the purpose?
Why not just say weeks ago : we made a beter game but it is not free anymore, thanks for those who will support us, sorry for the others, and if you want to play, take the time to subscribe a paypal account to be ready for the launch.
More than the pay thing, its the lack of respect that was hard IMO, people who are not ready to pay have other things to do than to wait weeks for the news, than hours for the launch.

This wasnt meant to be a discussion on what happened, it was simply me empathisizing with what happened as a fellow developer, i know if I made my project have a subscription that in my mind was minimal and I got as much feedback in a negative form as they did, id be pretty crushed for the day, if you want to discuss what happened, do so in an appropriate thread.

for me the Game is very good! and i would honor this hard work to made this game with spend my mony for it too but not in this way
Hafen isnt a tripple A titel and the monthly payment is higher than WoW...
its still an buggi and lagi Alpha stat game... much community feedback in the past years didnt found any open ear.

so this is nothing that would let me say yes i am paing that much money...

Ingame Item Shop for some decko yes!!
by monthly or pay one time for the game yes...
but max 2-5€ per month with endless game time... 2000player at release= 5x2000=10.000 per month
or pay 30-45€ for buy this game without monthly paiment and play it endless... 45x2000=90.000....

so think about your Busnessplan but i think this is to late a big part of the community is gone away and there wouldn be any newbee that would pay that lot of money
