Multiple small cuts

Postby Kelody » Fri Oct 09, 2015 3:03 am

It would be really helpful if all kinds small injuries (under 5 or so) would heal slowly. Say 1 point a week. I have multiple deep cuts that are 2 or 3 damage and it is very costly at the point I'm at to bandage very small wounds. I do bandage the 9+ ASAP and recently done the 5-8 ones.

Another option is to allow bandages to be divided among multiple injuries when they are small. A poultice can be used on a 9 deep cut, let us split it in 3 to work on 3 small ones.

Use stinging poultices, they're a lot easier to get a hold of if you don't have sheep tamed.

Requiring 3 nettle, 2 strings and a pelt for each one, it's easier to give a mouflon a clover and get a wool than to gather dozens of nettles. That doesn't include the vast increase in string requirements in world 8.

I would say that it's quite arguably easier to find three nettles & two taproots than to go run around to track down a mouflon, but I suppose that depends on your area.

Pretty much this, but nettles and taproots seem to be universally easy to find, except on mountains and in the middle of swamps I guess.

It's not so much I don't get any, but I have currently about a dozen needs for string and my hemp fields are taking their time expanding. I have yet to find flax.

I'm not asking for a removal of wounds, just that having 5x 2 damage wounds is 5x harder to treat than 1 10 damage wound.

Another option would be a make new simple balm that takes 1 point off a wound that takes 1 day. Perhaps a yew bough (for sap) and a berry from a bush.

I think that is the point of it, to make it harder to simply take hhp damage and laugh it off like we did in w7. ¦]

It punishes new players and hermits that take periodic accidental damage far more than someone that fights and takes 1 big wound vs many small ones. They can put 1 gauze on and in 2 days have the 25 damage wound gone. The non-fighter would need 12 bandages to accomplish the same thing.

That's slow to heal, and probably costly, but still only 1 bandage.
