newbie respect

I know that there are probably a lot of demands for baby blue eyes or something of the like to be added but here's my idea. when you are still doing the quests at the start of the game, you can't be PvP'ed or PvP. it would help new characters and put use to the quest system.
Why should you avoid players near salt sources? Because they're SALTY.

+1 just make new characters that spawn on charter stones and wilderness beacon to begin without the baby blue eyes

I still have characters without the kuksa quest finished. And blocking PvP is more trouble than it's worth.

The problem with the character creation room is that if you log out there, your character isn't saved. Something needs to be done about that if it's going to get any more complicated than it currently is.

Perhaps instead of blocking PVP or something they could have a 'buff' that prevents them from losing their last HHP point. So they can be knocked down, expelled from claims, etc... but can't be killed.

Of course, the buff wouldn't protect against drowning or starvation :P

And it shouldn't be determined by quests. More like by time (a week at maximum) AND it will go away if the character buys Rage, Trespassing or Yeomanry.
