new thingwall layout kinda stinky

  • Full of little enclaves that make it difficult to just port in a direction as you get trapped in dead ends even if you have all the thingwalls like a corn maze
  • Makes sense thingwall rly annoying to use (coming from somebody who gets all of their XP for free from realm, this must rly suck for normal people)
  • I think the new system was made with only it being 'prettier' in mind, but there's so much more boarder gore than before

hey, they are the same and I'm pretty sure I need to be on an entirely different river system to get the thingwall. The original sense thingwall went through 3 unrelated provinces before hitting its own thingwall (so far)

Neat concept, didn't work. I not certain it's salvageable even. At this point I think a flat reversion to the old system is the best course of action for next world.

Not mentioned above: It makes some ocean province gigantic, so whale hunting is even less fun.

MASSIVE +1 to this, thingwall provinces are absurdly inconsistent and you get so many little nonsense provinces that seemingly only exist to make it annoying to hop long distances now

+1, I know they thought they were cooking with this, but this ain't it chief

it fails at being pretty and larpy (see the barcode/baby thingwall province screenshots), and it also massively sucks in every single way possible gameplay-wise.
just revert to the previous system please, it was more than fine, and far better than any iteration of this could hope to be.

+1, I easily used 2-3k exp on sensing each thingwall, because their placement simply doesn't make sense. A province right now can cut the continent in half and the thingwall is on an island off the coast of said continent...

Just to add to the whine pile, I find it very hard to tell where the borders of provinces are on default client. The lack of straight edged borders and the subtle colors and the way you can't isolate the provinces from the terrain under it.

thingwalls being close to or on the edge is a fair problem, can't say I used any more exp repeating sense thingwall or had difficulty, but finding the thingwall you're missing was two minimaps over from the thingwall you know was common

I don't know how this got past a generation stage tbh, did J/L not look at how thingwalls looked at all before throwing out the world? There are several huge provinces with glaring issues
