Pickled mushrooms, please!

Add pickled mushrooms (chanterelles, boletus, champignons, and other mushrooms suitable for pickling) to the game.

Please also add a delicious salad made from pickled mushrooms: pickled mushrooms, vegetable oil, onion, salt, and possibly some spices.

Don’t make them super cool so they overshadow cheese. Give them moderate stats and 1–2 fairly good recipes, just like with other food. No one has ever suffered from pickled eggs and brains.

are you pretending to not know that mushrooms can be used in making other foods?

A lot of things are used to prepare other dishes. Mushrooms aren’t involved in recipes seriously enough to become a second Shepherd’s Pie.

Autumn steak will become the next shepherds pie tho.
Why did you pretend you don't know mushrooms are gonna be used in foods and say the mushroom wont be stronger than a cheese?

It’s just your imagination.

This too. That said, there’s nothing stopping us from tuning the balance before going into production, but the cheesy bots, as always, are overdramatizing.

The main two pieces of evidence I’d point to for the devs having a diagnosable learning disability:

  • Loftar being unwilling to convert game time to real time on inspect/error messages because the timers would start on numbers that aren’t highly composite, which is “ugly.”
  • ***Literally*** zero thought being put into what foods are good (FEPs are decided by an alg that's basically just RNG), when it’s what 90% of most people’s playtime revolves around.

I sure love the meta being start pickling @ week 2 and then literally have no reason to ever leave your base again. Waiter, waiter, more easily mass botted 300% chives recipes

Alright so the autumn steak already has higher fep than cheese.
How would adding pickled mushrooms affect the fep value on that? It would go up right?
Clearly you are another person who is trying to cheat out powercreep hoping devs wont realize what ur doing.

this
pickled stuff is nice and all but the super high fep variants really need to be toned down

I would love more pickled stuff but I have no confidence that it wont result in another shepherds pie.

So it’s already broken—so what are we even talking about? You’re contradicting yourself more and more as you go.

You can philosophize for a very long time about stat value caps (10,000), maximum stats, maximum w7 stats after many years of play (which still never came close to the upper limit). A simple hermit like me couldn’t care less whether pickled mushrooms become the new shepherd’s pie — I eat irregularly anyway. The scurrying of major factions doesn’t interest me much either. But pickled chanterelles — that’s awesome.
