Nerf Early Animal Power Levels

Now that we have many layers of anti cheese you should lower the power level of many early animals.
This will have no effect on balance as experienced players start killing all the unarmored animals on day 1 anyway.
Everything below a badger should have their attack speed reduced and make it so they use one color attack only.
Lets ease our new players into combat naturally in stead of having to ask and then be laughed at from all the jaded old timers who hate the game and its players.

I guarantee with this change we will get better player retention.

+1 but I think that two colors per unarmored animal would be better in terms of teaching them opening reduction.

At least nerf their defense and IP spam. PVP encourages movement and flanking, running and maneuvering during PVM just lets animals drop all their openings and spam IP gen at you(unless you engage in other cheese). The game isn't really built around stand and deliver combat.

Such animal as fox or badger shouldn't have a move that reduces all opening and gives IP at the same time. Idk what a speucecap would learn about combat seeing fox doing that shit to him.

they improved something I liked, and now I don't like it anymore. It is bad enough that that it will probably be fixed after 3-5 years when some charismatic person with an egirl PFP has a 5 minute conversation with loftar, although it will probably still be worse than it was originally

what is there even to say it's just the same situation as every other time

Hunting is the main reason to go outside walls, so we slowed it down and made it more annoying with no compensation buffs, but it's all worth it because we fixed cheesing. Please ignore the day 3 narwhal spears.

I more or less just haven't been playing because of this change lol. Part of it is that this world's updates are generally just boring and I largely think bad but the other part is just that hunting without the old cheesing is aggressively unfun. Obviously there are just new and more annoying ways to cheese most animals but still. The fact that animals have been easily cheesable has literally propped up hunting since legacy
