I agree, but opium isn't produced from seeds per se, but rather from latex from the seed pod. This is basically why nothing is in yet. Not sure how to add it in a good way.

Perhaps you could harvest the seed pods a la hemp buds in old Haven? E.G. a growth cycle before they actually flower.

As to the other posters' ideas of cocaine/coffee, both of those are rather more tropical and thus wouldn't really fit the setting as well as poppies. There's a bunch of medicinals you can derive from plants (aspirin-like compound from willow bark, coffee from chicory roots) that would suit the setting much better.

Cocaine from cocoa plants? In some biomes there's a foragable that gives you a seed to plant a cocao tree, and that would in turn grow cocoa pods which could be used to make both cocaine and chocolate?
