Jesus christ, deal with walking, you don't have to run everywhere. There's a difference between things you have to spend energy on, and running everywhere because you're an impatient loon

How long/how much effort was it to collect those rats and how many energy bar refills did they provide?
High energy low hunger foods shouldn't be more work to create than regular FEP busting foods imo.

Not tons of effort, if you see rats, pick them up, over a lot of people it adds up

And they're 450% for 2%, the best energy hunger food our group has found

*exploratory mining trips* You try cracking stone every 5 tiles in all of the caves and not use any stamina!

...? We're talking about miners and terraformers here. There's no effective way to reduce the insane energy drain that is mining to a point where it wouldn't unbalance this FEP system.

We had issues the first day or two, learning what to do, but it's completely manageable once you get established, the only real issue would be for hermits, who need to do everything

I think every new char should receive a starter pack with seeds and badger hides and gold nuggets, and not feel hungry or have low energy for its first 100 play hours because that forces us to make decisions. There should also be a combat move where you instantly ko noobs with less UA than you from a distance. And animals should never flee or fight back and should in fact be changed for stuffed models instead.
