You will think about it again when you will have to 1v1 anyone with slighty higher stats than yours and will lose 1 year of playtime cuz of that :)

Drink running only benefitted warriors ready for combat. There are huge flaws in the combat system, but those are problems with the combat system. If you wanted to talk about making escaping combat easier, drink running benefits the attacker more than the defender usually.

Personal opinion is that combat should never be something you're forced into. If a crafter wants to run, it should be easy for them to do so. As soon as a client gets auto hearthing though that should be easy if the attackers aren't on a horse.
