Or do a 180 and integrate different types of damage. Cutting, piercing and blunt for example. Chainlink armor would offer good cutting protection but poor against piercing and blunt, Plate armor would be good against piercing and leather would be best to defend against blunt attacks. Punches would be blunt damage and swords would do cutting damage of course.

A full set of steel armor has some insane AGI penalties. It's like -28 for a full set at around ql15. With the way the combat system works now, I highly doubt anyone will bother using the armor anymore because the penalty is just too big, especially as quality increases.

Except that it makes you immune to animal attacks excluding Bears

Steel armor would be very protecting, but will drain your stamina aa lot when you run.
Chainmail wouldnt protect as much but it gives a bit smaller stamina drain.
Or then it could affect to move cooldowns. Would result in weird bots swapping armors on and off

Sorry but no

Any cc or movement altering should be left out of the game, ty

I disagree.

So if you wear full metal armor, not being able to run in any form, sounds fine to me. Now if you had training you could could sprint short distances. So steel boots slowing you down (or x steel gear). Sound fine to me, also means one more thing to spend LP on that allows for character improvement. Want to run for a short while, train yourself to do so.

Edit: But I say that should apply to anything that is thought of as heavy armor.

metal armor is pretty shit in comparison with stuff like ctcs and rangers boots if metal armor gets nerfed even more please balance everything else too :(
