Instead of my old idea for the LP increases though.. since it's complicated: let's say this
On inherit, you gain the "Strength of the Ancestors" buff, every time you put a point in a skill if your ancestor had more points in that skill, the buff will give you two bonus points for that skill.
For example, if I had 100 mc and 10 ua on an old character, this is how progression would work
I would start with 3 ua and 3 mc.
If I put one point into mc, I would have 6 (2+4) same for UA, at 3 points you would have 9 (3+6), same for UA. At 4 though, you would have 4 + 8, for 12 mc. However for UA you imstead have 10 ua, and are finaled, your stat becomes (10+0) and now you progress normally.
Since costs scale hard this would end up being incredibly cheap, but still fair IMHO
