I said it in another thread and ill say it once here since it sounds right.

Add salt flats, the ability to mine it, and salt lakes ect.... (the lakes do not need to be big, just salt water).

lol. That wasn't the reason we removed that, though. We removed it because people created tons of alts to block access and cause shenanigans.

That's not exactly what people can do with charter stone?

A charter stone requires more planning, a village, &c. It can't be done instantly at an arbitrary point in the game world.

I think all random spawning would do is replicate ye olde haven practice of spamming alts to scout with, and map the whole map in a shorter time. Perhaps widen the spawn area to quite bigger than the old one.

Maybe a couple of natural charterstones around the map, and no player built ones? Disallow claiming near them, and let people choose which one they'll spawn on when creating a character. Maybe bring back "Baby Blue Eyes" so you can travel to a different stone if you don't like the one you picked, but no teleports after the buff has expired.

some of the best moments i've had too have been when the village made the effort to all be on for feasts, for birthdays, and events, and inviting other people in towns over, plus being a central thing during end of world parties.

I see a common desire for a communal area for safe feasting, trade, social interaction, natural charters...
Perhaps 4, one in each quadrant of the map.
You may spawn in the general area, but not right at the charter, just enough to look around, explore a bit before meeting up with your mates

I like the idea of natural markers, ie charter stone, stonehenge, etc that are not claimable, kind of like a national forest, belongs to all to share and enjoy

Though an open pvp game, having some safe communal areas, may be just what is needed to encourage new players to try and actually stay.

Some games have various modes:
easy, beginner tutorial;
moderate pve
and hardcore pvp.
Coding would be difficult and not sure if could share same mapping or have individual maps

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if you would be able to implement a couple of things that might be interesting for creating some items. I have thought it might be a neat idea to have a Compost Pile, the idea behind it would be to have a way to possibly make better quality soil. It would be in the same category as Beehives, you would need something like the following to make it. The base construction would be 8 Boards and 100 Worms and 250 Soil the quality of the Worms and Soil would be factors in determining the Q of the new Soil. It would produce the new Soil similarly to Beehives in that it would drain out the bottom at a pre-determined rate. In order to make more Soil you would need to add higher Q vegetation (Beet Leaves, Pumpkin, Carrots, Beets, Leaves from certain trees.) You would load it similar to how you load a Trough or Chicken Coop and it would be a process that would take a week or two of game time to produce the new Soil. The Q of all ingredients would determine the Q of the new with some of the new Soil being replaced with new Earthworms. There might even be the possibility of have a rare curio to be found in it.

The second idea I had was if there was the possibility of building a Windmill. You would then be able to use it to grind larger amounts of Grain. You would be able to also add in Grain Bags made from Linen or Hemp and then place a Barrel of Barley in the Windmill to grind 50 kg of Flour or possibly grind Hemp Seeds to get oil so that you could have oil to burn in Lanterns so that people could light up caves with lanterns.

Just thought I'd add my two cents.

Thanks for the game, I like this style quite a bit.
