Sounds like fun.

How about if you could hire villagers at the village idol and make them paid with real money. Let me (and other java impaired casual folks) have the possibility to pay for help. Let me buy a farmer and send him out on the crops, let me hire a fisherman and leave him to do his business near river ore lake, let me hire a digger and send him to level up ground. All this tasks could be set up in a quite simple menu. Let me worry instead on protecting and feeding these workers - having one die to starvation, wilderness beasts or other players and they are gone for good.

I thought bots are the main flaw of this game. But I have realized now that bots are not the root of the problem. Chores are. I have quit your other game - Salem due to the slow progression and the overwhelming amount of chores. I have also quit HnH W8 after I realized that all I have been doing for a week or so was farming and feeding the livestock. No character development, no social interaction, no fun, just work. I am not a player that can spend 12hours/day playing (belive me that I'd spend them if I could, since I love the game). I have a demanding work IRL, so I am able to play around 2hours a day, and I sure as hell don't want to spend those 2 hours digging dirt and planting crops.

I don't think you aim this game only to the nolifers. You need me and my income so I can pay for whatever you throw at me. I own 2 accounts, I payed for verification and a 6mth sub. I love this game, I did it since the first time I played Legacy. I am at peace with myself that I never will be a top player, I have limited time to play, and I want to get most fun I can get in this limited time.

For example - if I want to play this game as a lone wanderer, trying to survive in the world, always traveling, packing light, living from hunting and foraging. I want to meet new people, visit new settlements and trade in stuff for tools/weapons/armor. Doing all the above in my limited time really impaires my character development (fuck fate) up to the point that I am unable to stand against the feebelest of players or wildlife. What's a hunter that can be mauled to death by a fucking badger.

If you are against the kind of paid help I am suggesting above, at least easen up the chores a bit. Let livestock eat the grass underneath their feet instead of dying because of an empty through. Give us a craftable drink (elixir) that temporary buffs the stamina when digging, so that I can level the ground in two hours instead of a whole week. I had in mind a beautiful terraforming project but then I realised that with my playing schedule it would take me maybe a month to dig and move the dirt. Let me place a fishing net that passively catches fish (like the Salem traps). Let active fishing and active livestock care to the hardcore players that take the path of the quality grind. I'm a q10 player that wants to live a q10 life.

TL;DR.
I'm a filthy casual and I want this game more casual friendly.

I dont think there is an issue with simple automation (botting) Such as the shift click to pick up a bunch of the same item. Auto curio stuff.

Its when it comes to the point of full farming bots.

But i do agree, the game does/should be a little more accessable for casuals. lets face it, thats what the mobile gaming industry is based on. I just think we as a community need to help jorbtar find the balance.

Well, stat caps remove the pressure to consume good curios and food 24/7, and Jorb seemed to like my idea about "pausing" livestock, so I think we're already headed towards a much more casual friendly Haven.
