That would basically mean that you can use all moves in 1 deck at anytime. That would just bring old haven combat system back.

I'd actually agree to the cooldown being something smaller than performing the move itself, anything the reduces the impact luck of the draw has is good. However reduce it too far and you bypass the purposeful limitation of building a good deck.
When you have 4 types of attack/defense I think limiting things to 5 cards or else introducing random chance is a poor mechanic but I also think that if we are going that route then dropping a card needs to have ramifications.

But you know that even using CTRL+move makes your character stop so even if you had lightning speed bot to use the desired move it would make the users character STOP for some time and make him an easy target. He couldn't do it middle-chase and that is enough. Anyways, haven never was a game like "won't add that feature cuz boters will abuse" if it was, there wouldnt be pearls,curios etc. I know most of the people talking here probably never fought at all in the old haven but "That would just bring old haven combat system back." it is the only thing missing for this game to be perfect and it would be the best thing devs can to do the combat. You guys know that fighting 1v1 makes no sense here? You can just stay and stack defensive moves forever, literally forever. Defender can throw in 3 green-type defences at the time u use chop, or like 5 blue-type defences at the time u use cleave.

There are better ways to fix combat than allowing for more things that a bot can help you out with. Annoying scrubs with custom clients are implementing little tricks all the time apparently to help them out in combat and I don't see how this wouldn't be abused as well. I can agree the timer could be less but not nothing.

If the devs did want to make combat more controllable all they have to do is make each of 1-5 have its own deck as I suggest here: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=46168

I'm not sure if cooldown removal is the solution, but as it is, yeah, the deck system needs some work. In practice I always use 5-card decks because getting bad moves is so punishing.

Perhaps a 'mulligan' feature could be implemented that discards all your cards and draws five new ones, with cooldown?

i discarded 'quick dodge' while chasing an animal to get a 3s cooldown... why? it incurs a much smaller cooldown if i had just used quick dodge. why i use 6 or less cards in a deck :/

around 25agi against a fleeing boar btw
