Oh about this....if you ask to me, I would rework the whole aggroing/hunting system.....being able to bring animals wherever you want is a feature I don't like at all tbh.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

I like to keep my doors opened, but I just almost died because a bear was too curious...

(how much should I wait to let him disappear? 15 minutes was not enough)

It took about 30 mins for mineto despawn

Just keep in mind that it'll despawn when the map tile with it unloads - and peeking if it's still there leads to the timer for the map tile unload to reset.
