I don't like mechanics that nullify other mechanics.

As long as dropping sandfleas isn't a crime, that nullifies visitor gates. It is too dangerous to have them. They don't protect you as they should.

Same for wild animals being lead in. Animals should not be able to pass visitor gates.

Guilty party right here ^^, folks!

(I have not a clue who actually does this. I only kid! :D )

Worth noting that this is actually not likely with current rules. Once you have aggro from anything, you cannot pass through a visitor gate. You'd have to position yourself just right and hope the animal flees through the gate... I've not tried doing this, but it may well be likely that the animal can't even pass while it has aggro on it.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

It can. Animals are *never* stopped by visitor gate.

They can, its dumb. You run through a normal gate into your village and close it, the animal will just run over to the nearest open visitor gate and mosey on in to hit you. I had a villager almost die to this.

As for sandfleas nullifying visitor gates... dont put your outlawed or afk char somewhere that people can walk in and access? Its not that hard, and its the same as last world. You don't leave your outlawed chars out in the open, you don't afk in the open.
Sandfleas are fine as is.

Y'know what would be nice? If you squished them when you picked them up so you got dead flees instead of live ones.
