It sounds like it would be a simple addition, the ratio of work to benefit would be amazing.

Since you are a custom client developer who absolutely uses all of his own code and has such a deep understanding of the game code that you know this would be a simple and easy and fast addition, perhaps you could just do the coding for the devs and then give it to them! This sounds like a very reasonable solution! Very easy!
