Daily reminder that the claim shield system had like 3 easily fixable problems, whereas every other system has had like 12 unfixable problems

Which would these 3 easily fixable problems be?

I agree but I think everyone involved, attacker, defender, spectator, your mom, etc- can all agree that this siege system is probably the worst conceivable way of doing siege in any game ever

A literal never ending battle of 1 side building walls with alts and the other side bashing them? After god knows how many siedge rework how is this where we landed? Is this really better than the "shield" mechanic of w10? Not that I ever understood or interacted with that system but it seems like most ppl remember it more fondly than whatever this current thing is

People remember the pre-curio system fondly too. Does not mean it was good.

I would say its more balanced than ever.
It all came down to who had more willpower.
Should you have a guarantee to wipe the biggest village off the map as soon as you break in? I don't think so.
I have always supported non lethal sieges.
The positive outcome of this situation is that all the pvp chads can go back to having pvp near whateverbay. At least the ones that didn't quit haven :)
You can wipe normie villages no problem but big community projects should be hard to destroy like they are now.
Anyone feel free to present a better system in a C&I thread I'll give you my honest rating.

Enjoy Albion, its way better in terms of pvp content.

It is a habitat of sprucecaps, building alts, mystery and gayest gays ever that have their map not loaded outside 20 tiles from safepali.

Idk, tbh I had fun building walls with all the boys.
However, as another poster mentioned, sieging is a battle of wills. Your will to win was less than our will to win, therefore, you lost.

Breaking walls is also easier than making them, especially at high strength. We have to gather the wood, chop it into blocks, cart it over, and then make the cornerpost. Meanwhile, all you have to do is spend a minute bashing it. You had the advantage here, yet you guys are still complaining? We put in more time defending, so you can't blame the system.

Your leader, Snugglesnail, had every chance to keep the place open for as long as he wanted, but one of his grunts, probably you, dropped the ball and let the walls fully soak.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy
