This could be a good thing for peaceful solo players like you said, but the decreased risk is applied the same to criminal players making attempts at successfully fighting back less meaningful than they should be.
To be more specific though I think it's that increased alt usage in conjunction with multiple clients that causes more harm than good,
And this is the #1 problem. The bigger villages will have fighter alts Galore. the Ass Hats will do the same, Hell most all do the same. But that is also a Very big problem with the game. Now mind you for brevity's sake I would rather only have 1 char if Everyone else was limited to the same. BUT If I could be the Dev, I would want to allow 3 characters per player. This mainly for the solo players.

You might want to talk about the mechanics that make people use alts and not about the people that use alts themselves
Maybe it is not a issue in the dev's eyes at all, it is only you? I support the idea of multi-session in the default client it will equalize the people that discovered the game from steam
First off, If players only had like 2 or even 3 alts, I could see what you mean. But we both know players who use 20+ alts. They brag about here and in discords. Plus how many players nowadays have fighter alts in reserve. You and I both know this answer for the most part. Now I totally agree the DEVS should had fucking done something about this, and IF they really don't care about the rampant bot and Alt use. Then they should plainly state it and encourage and streamline the way for Gregarious Alt and Bot use.
And for the most part, Can we not be civil please
