See, the difference between my opinion and your opinion here is that I see how this plays out on a daily basis and you're just kindof pulling stuff out of your ass.

I promise you the hermit militia is not going to get any less fucked when they choose to bite off more than they can chew if they don't have safepalis >3 minimaps away. They will also full die significantly more often if they try to use safepalis vs. somebody who outclasses them.

Yeeting safepalis would be a big nerf to shitter spruce cap killer, make fraction PVP a bit more interesting, and make most PVPbois more likely to roam around big enemy villages instead of just going to populated areas 20 minimaps away. It would also make people more likely to track murders. It would be a benefit to nearly everybody who has posted in this thread except Misa, and MAYBE me depending on how much I value fun:safety on a given day.

I know it's off topic, but this line alone should be enough to invalidate nearly everything you've ever said in C&I. I've literally never seen this done once. I'm sure it HAS happened, but the statement is so absurdly out of line with reality it makes it obvious nothing you say is based on live experience. You're just saying stuff.

I'ma be honest, the most common thing that kills the sprucies is not building an airlock and getting chewed on by a bear while being confused that their front door randomly turned hostile today. But the flipside of this suggestion is, even if you're one of the knowledgeable players who understands how to build a safety airlock the moment you get aggroed outside your base there's literally nothing you can do. Obviously this is for people without fighter stats and/or people who don't constantly practice running in the game. Roughly 95% of the playerbase.

We've already got people who wait at docks to aggro you when you port back, I feel like there'll be more wall camping in general. Which is kinda what you're saying, that you'd wallcamp factions instead of wandering looking for spruces because if you catch someone you can turn it into a meaningful ko/kill if not an actual fight. But for skilled runners, there isn't a ton of risk camping a village because you're expecting that you'll be able to escape safely, while camping people that have a decent chance of not being able to escape you.

I don't see that as a plus side for the "I don't want to be ganked" scene. Having someone sit outside my village bashing my roads constantly because they're bored while camping me wasn't super fun last time it happened.


Safepaly meta for faction fighting is dumb as hell though, I understand where the frustration comes from.

With that in mind, how many times in the last 2 years or so have you escaped PVP because of an airlock? I know for sure the answer for most village is 0 with a rounding error, but like I said you guys are goldilocks zone for this so I'm not just leading you to an implication here actually just curious

but also
let non-outlawed non-redhanded non-mrage people cross vgates in pvp combat.

Right, so remove airlocks instead of reworking combat??? Surely that will resolve everything.
