Just make it so that realm structures don;t cost exp, its detrimental to make them and that's the issue.
Follow up, negotiating with people for guano is insane, people always sell it and its not worth paying.

Also, you have the ability to revolt and make your own realm, so get good I guess.

What they contribute? To the kingdom the experience u cunts drain. To the game? Likely their time, sometimes money sometime word of mouth.
What do you scum contribute though? You drive away players, minimize chances they will ever recommend it to anyone else indirectly hurting the game financially. But what do you care. Not like naricistic psycopaths can feel emotions beyond the self.

Yes, some realms have parasitic nature at the moment (a bit neglected part of H&H...) and changes are needed
* Realms get authority only based on authority collected by claims. Village claims generate x2 authority to a realm than p-claims. Only actively gained authority points by v- and p-claims count.
* No more state funerals
* Make realm bonuses made of 2 parts: one part is as it is now, plus a dynamic part dependent on the authority gains from active claims (like proposed above). There should be incentives to relocate to better realms.
* Make authority drain proportional to the ratio of bonuses_provided / authority_collected. Force realms return something in exchange to authority collected, or perish.
* Finally, markets should have some bigger bonus to a realm - no idea how yet. But it would be very beneficial to the game that markets would have bigger impact and realms might be of interests to even protect them if needed.

-Amount of buffs increases "taxation efficiency"
-Can opt out from both taxation, but it also disables the buffs

I'd rather have an ability to challenge realm without having to make my own realm first. Add revolts or smh

This seems reasonable, but there needs to be more incentive for me to want to pay authority willingly
+30% swan quality is useless to me. I have a new suggestion: If you are 'opt-in' to the kingdom, you can use charter stones as an origin point for fast travel, but ONLY between other opt-in village charter stones within your realm. You can use it to fast travel from your base to the closer markets, but not markets on the other side of the world. The added authority drain from opting in makes it so you have to actually maintain a second village if you plan to exploit it, and you can't use it to jump to the other side of the world, unless of course your realm manages to reach that far.
