Xir, there is a charter willig 10 minimaps away from your willig, and all it does is reduce response time by ~60 seconds. Its been there since ~6 weeks into the world. You're insane if you think there would not be faction charter networks (again, because it happened before) if thingwalls were nerfed.

Also, i've literally said in my post, there is clearly no easy solution without major changes because any change to fast travel fucks with trading. And I agree that my solutions aren't perfect i just threw them out there as a small brainstorming sesh. But the lack of clear solutions doesn't mean there isn't a problem, and stuff like snekkja or whirlpool changes are reasonable imo (idk the whirlpools being infinite tp until you find w/e you want just feel weird, having as stable 1 to 1 teleport seems logical).
Idk which poster was that but i do think there should be a no building zone around thingwalls, so people can't setup a safepali RIGHT THERE. (arguably speaking even if you remove safepalis, it's still really convenient to have a base right there where you can wait for ppl to arrive and then shoot through.
