Can you explain your reasoning? Has someone convinced you that getting a scent of a pvper capable of kritter clicking turns into something reasonably meaningful?
There are several reasons why. I wasn't really even considering the scents themselves when I thought of the suggestion but rather benefits such as having a last known location of your body (if you died), a record of where you've been attacked/knocked out/killed in case you might want to avoid those areas in the future or to at least know to be prepared for that circumstance, or so you can let others know as well exactly where attacks have occurred.
Also I don't really like the way memorization works. I think it would make more sense if the time it took to memorize a player was based solely on the clothing they wore like how bandit's mask increases the time it takes. Some base amount of time that is increased by clothing that better hides facial and other recognizable features, rather than pitting the stealth * int vs perc * exp of the players against each other considering in most cases the one that is more inclined towards pvp tends to always have the higher value anyways.
