You can arrange that at any time, though.

I do not know when/if/how we will change this system, no.

Honestly, this mechanic can leave a hunt focused character useless permanently. It is also true that some serious wounds is necessary to prevent the hunting mechanics be too easy.

But I think the only permanent thing should be death.

p.s: Wheelchairs, splints or crutches during weeks

I would like to have a chance to heal a wound like that. Even if it took literally a month, and maybe had some chance/risk involved. It doesn't have to be permanent to be taken seriously.

We'll call it a draw

Isn't a hunter who goes out and gets gored by animals constantly a bad hunter?

Im starting to come to terms with having Permanent HHP damage, as much as i fucking hate the idea of it.. its hardcore and realistic, makes you a hell of a lot more careful when doing something risky.

However.. current P-Wounds are dumb, to put it nicely.. "Wretched Gore" sounds like you had your arm mangled or something, and now its a permanent wound? Sooo... your Hearthling isnt going to try and fix that? Wrap the fuck out of it in gauze to stop the bleeding, soak it in poultice to heal it as much as possible, try and align the bone so it isnt bent in 8 places.. the initial wound would be temporary, then healed slowly to become "Scarred Tissue" or something like that, which is permanent.

Its been said a million times.. the current wound system is crap, the easiest way to fix it is make everything heal-able for now, then add rare-ish injuries that are permanent since you want Permanent HHP loss so badly, id be ok with that, so long as you dont get them as easily as Nicks & Knacks.. :p

Again, I agree that the wound shouldn't be completely inert. It should require attendance.

constantly <- This is wrong. The boar catches you. You just knocked out, and you get a nice 60 points incurable wound after being left k.o...

You have not received 6 "wretched gore" wounds in 6 unsuccessful boar hunts, you get a 60 point "wretched gore".

There is a reason why in many cultures hunters and fighters were always held in high esteem.

You can't expect the glory and renown of killing beasts and enemies without the risks of severe injury and a lifetime of being a cripple.

The question is whether this is a realistic survival game, or if it is a pvp/pve with survival flavors. It bothers me so much that people treat this as a mobile game where you must be constantly rewarded and where convenience is the rule.

If wounds are an issue one can always stick to farming and crafting, which are perfectly good ways of enjoying the game. If hunting is your way of playing you have to deal with its consequences. For fuck's sake why don't you roleplay this shit as you should and say that "he was once a hunter, but early in his career he made the unwise decision of challenging a grizzly bear. He barely escaped the encounter with his life, and still today he carries the marks of the beast's fury on his legs. His spear has been long since abandoned for a cane, and the hunter now spends his days tending the village's farms and crafting leather armors for the younger generation of hunters. His flame still burns fierce, however, and he patiently waits for the day when his wounds will be completely healed. Then, on that day, he will set out on a journey to find and challenge the bear one last time."
