Anyone tested the max distance between signs? Wondering if you could jump an entire lake with one on each side....

All signs outside claim decays.

But if you are a hermit then signs dont really decays.

Wood signs are like 20 tiles and stone are like 30. Those are approximate numbers mind you.

How does being a hermit effect it?

You can destroy a signpost and wait for people to teleport in, then you can eat their face while their client is loading the map and cant do anything about it.
This flaw should be fixed.

Well decay is RNG, and decay wont hit if map doesn't load. Since I started playing early this month only 1 decay hit to my sign post until now, and no decay hits to any of my berries or tea plant.

Once you logged out, map will unload and everything will be pristine :3

Incidentally, this also means berry bushes will effectively never regenerate around you either. Not entirely sure how trees work, some things about them doesn't seem to be decay system based at least (mulberry leaves are a seperate system).

It dosn't according to Jorb.

Catch my logic here: Jorb has stated berry bushes regen off decay hits back when people were whining berry bushes never get berries back. Maps being unloaded freeze decay ticks. Ergo, being in a lonely part of the world should slow down berry bush regrowth around you.

What am I missing?
