storage sheds would be great - maybe twice max inventory space. I also saw a post at one point suggesting having the ability to tie a stall to an area that it would fill with stockpiles, that would pretty nifty.

I'm not sure what a share shack is.

The building would act as a immobile container, and could not be entered. You gain space efficiency at the loss of easier subdivision/organisation. To a degree it would lessen the need for buildings to act as storage containers, or chests strewn everywhere. Trade off being that you can't move it once placed, although I see no reason why it would require a high soak. It would also change raiding a bit in the sense that every item in your base doesn't conveniently come with transport readily available I guess?

maybe have larger storage for specific things. So raw food storage boxes will give larger food storage, but won't allow anything other than raw food. Make the resource requirement not worth it if you are just starting out. But later on when you need that extra storage space, it becomes viable.

I'm thinking of something like a wagon, only it's immobile and you can put stockpiles in the slots. Also we could use a berry stockpile.

But yeah, as a hermit who'd like to trade cloth and blueberries for crowns I can certainly confirm that this is a problem.
