People might just put four claims around the palisade walls without covering the cairn itself. I've seen people do that with natural resources. It would be more work, though, so I think it's still better than what we have now.

There’s still a space in between that would be bashable, 5 spaces required between pclaim?

Using cairns to cock-block p. claims seems pretty abusable, but not terribly so. Anyone who cares about their shit can just make a village claim. Suggestion seems good.
