You would just keep making characters until you get what you want... so no point in doing that.

I don't personally intend to take advantage of the mechanic, I would still probably be pasty white. But if it's a simple fix for the engine and doesn't make a lot of dev work I support it.

No it wouldn't, because you can create more characters on that same account... So you would just keep making characters on that account until you get the color you wanted.

We have different genders and hair styles, I can be talked down to for being a bald mofo or wearing an ugly hat. Even Valheim has a skin tone slider and that game's more mythos theme'd than Haven.

Then people would just keep creating new accounts until they get their desired physical appearance, and all you've accomplished is that people have to abandon their pre-existing account (with subs and hats) to get a skin color they want. I'm sure the playerbase will be pleased.

Hats can be transferred, but you'd abandon a sub/verification because you character looked wrong? Wtf you're going to be wearing a bunch of mismatched BS like dhelms and Merchant's robes anyway. I mean I get people care what their character looks like but haven't met anyone till now that would care enough to waste money over it lol. Especially since this is a what if scenario IF race becomes a problem in this game lol.
